We are looking for Head Start Teachers for full-time and part-time positions in multiple locations in Rochester.
This position is primarily responsible for the classroom and implementing curriculum based on the children and families' needs and interests. This includes, but is not limited to, weekly lesson and activity planning based on approved curriculum, screening children's educational goals, and implementing individualized plans. The position supervises the Assistant Teacher and Program Assistant in their assigned classroom.
This position requires a minimum of an Associate's degree (A.A.) in Early Childhood Education or a related field with qualifying coursework or experience in an early childhood setting. Head Start and Families First of Minnesota offer continuing education opportunities for individuals seeking to obtain an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. The individual must meet Head Start Teacher qualifications.
This exempt position is scheduled for 40 hours/week, Monday-Friday, between 7:00 A.M. and 4:30 P.M., with occasional evening events. Compensation starts at $26.53/hour, based on education level. Benefits include health insurance, dental, vision, life, long-term disability, and 403(b) retirement savings, along with paid vacation, sick leave, holidays, and personal holidays.
