Capital Area Head Start in Pennsylvania is seeking a Social Services Coordinator to oversee family service supports, collaborate with Family Services to implement family-centered programs, support attendance initiatives, and coordinate the Family Partnership Agreement process.

The role also delivers crisis intervention, supports mandatory reporting, provides training, and serves as a resource for child abuse prevention.

Qualifications

• Social work degree required; master's preferred.
• Experience supporting at-risk families to access community resources.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication.
• Ability to pass background checks and clearances.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Head Start/Early Head Start experience preferred.
• Bi/multilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

This role works closely with Family Services staff to implement family-centered programs, support attendance initiatives, facilitate the Family Partnership Agreement process, and provide crisis intervention and emergency assistance when needed.The Social Services Coordinator also serves as a key resource for child abuse prevention, delivering training, supporting mandatory reporting requirements, and ensuring appropriate follow-up actions are taken.Social Service Coordinators work 10 months out of the year and enjoy summers off while earning a minimum of $25.42 per hour. Schedules are based on the school year and include 1650 work hours.
