Job summary

Saginaw Intermediate School District seeks a Preschool Manager to oversee the Great Start Readiness Program implementation and compliance, providing instructional leadership and supervision to Head Start staff across sites.

You will ensure alignment with state and federal regulations, monitor program quality, and collaborate with LEAs, families, and community partners to promote school readiness and positive outcomes for preschoolers.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Development or closely related field.
• Previous teaching and/or supervision experience is mandatory.
• Six months experience working with preschool children is preferred.
• Willingness to obtain Basic First Aid and CPR Certification and maintain certification.
• Acceptable tuberculosis and drug screening results, a clear criminal records check and an initial health exam required post offer.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and MiLEAP guidelines for early childhood programs.
• Monitor and evaluate program quality using the Creative Curriculum, Teaching Strategies Gold, CLASS, and other assessment tools.
• Oversee enrollment processes and ensure eligibility and recruitment for GSRP and Head Start.
• Ensure classrooms support developmentally appropriate practices, social-emotional learning, and school readiness goals.
• Coordinate licensing requirements and maintain compliance with Michigan Child Care Licensing Rules.
• Coach and mentor Head Start and LEA GSRP teaching staff on curriculum implementation.
• Develop and implement a CQI plan with age-appropriate plans for each child.
• Prepare grant reports and documentation for audits and stakeholder communications.
