Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must obtain CDA certification within two years of employment.
• Two years of preschool experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• CPR and First Aid certification within twelve months of hire.
• Indiana driver’s license with required auto-liability limits.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing classroom materials and plan quality learning experiences.
• Support teacher in implementing developmentally appropriate activities.
• Collaborate with teacher, families and staff to promote positive outcomes for all children.
• Maintain safe and secure classroom environment encouraging curiosity and self-motivation.
• Implement Head Start standards, NAEYC criteria, and licensing requirements.
• Demonstrate professional behavior in alignment with CLASS indicators.
• Foster children's independence, creativity and problem-solving.
• Respect and protect confidentiality at all times.
