Job summary

Acelero, Inc. is seeking a Preschool Assistant Teacher to support a Head Start classroom for 3- to 5-year-old children in Wisconsin. You will work with the teacher and families to promote development, gather data for planning, and ensure a safe learning environment.

The role emphasizes social-emotional growth, behavior support, and partnerships with families to extend learning into home settings.

Qualifications

• CDA credential or enrollment in coursework with completion within one year of hire.
• CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within the first year.
• Background checks and physical exam required for the position.

Responsibilities

• Assist teaching staff in a Head Start classroom serving 3- to 5-year-olds.
• Support social, emotional development and positive learning environments.
• Collect and maintain data for assessment and planning.
• Collaborate with families, teachers and Family Advocates to coordinate services.
• Help maintain a safe, healthy learning environment and conduct health checks.
