Head Start Pre-School Teacher

Darrough Chapel Early learning Center

Job Summary: Provide diverse learning opportunities for early childhood classroom using hands-on learning and interaction. Plan daily social-emotional, literacy, and foundational mathematical learning experiences based on early childhood foundations and developmentally appropriate strategies for curriculum, instruction, and assessment. Collaborate closely with other staff members. Follow all mandatory Head Start and state-licensing requirements.

Certification and Qualifications: Valid Indiana Teaching License for Early Childhood or Elementary with Pre-k/Kindergarten endorsement; Ability to work with young children; Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to perform light physical activities—such as bending, kneeling, and reaching as required in a classroom setting, as well as lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
