Job summary

LEO Inc. in Lynn, MA is seeking a Lead Teacher (Birth to Five) to plan, implement, and supervise a Head Start classroom, ensuring daily operations and compliance with DEEC regulations and Head Start standards.

You will mentor assistant teachers, conduct evaluations, align activities with CLASS, ECERS, and QRIS, maintain a safe, bilingual environment, and communicate with families to support each child's development.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Early Childhood Education or related field required.
• Must meet DEEC Lead Teacher qualifications.
• Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and DEEC/OHS regulations.
• Bilingual education experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead teacher responsible for Head Start classroom operations and compliance with DEEC regulations.
• Mentor and coach assistant teachers in developmentally appropriate practices.
• Prepare and conduct bi-monthly and annual evaluations of assistant teachers.
• Train/work with assistant teaching staff on improving CLASS, ECERS, and QRIS scores.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure safe, healthy learning environment.
• Engage with families through conferences and home visits to support child development.
