Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or culinary training equivalent.
• 1 year experience in institutional-style cooking.
• Current Food Handler Card or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to use a computer for time/attendance reporting and data entry.
• Ability to read and write clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assist with breakfast, lunch, and snacks for 50+ children.
• Deliver meals to classrooms and return carts after meals.
• Sanitize dishes and kitchen equipment before and after service.
• Maintain kitchen area sanitation and weekly deep cleaning.
• Stock and label food items with dates.
• Prepare snacks and special foods for events; support menu planning.
