Job summary

United Community Action Partnership, Inc. in Marshall, MN is seeking a Head Start Home Visitor to help families prepare children for school.

You will build mentoring relationships, support family partnerships, and track progress in line with Head Start standards. This full-time, 12-month union position offers opportunities to conduct screenings, promote the program, and recruit families while delivering education and health services.

Qualifications

• Current Home Visiting CDA certification (OR).
• Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or Family Services.
• CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain within 90 days).

Responsibilities

JOB STATUS:

Full time (40 hours), 12-Month Union Position

LOCATION:

Marshall, MN

Inspire Families to Help Prepare Children for School as an Early Head Start Home Visitor!

Help families to create a nurturing environment where children grow, learn and thrive. As a Head Start Home Visitor, you'll spark curiosity, build school readiness, and empower families to support their child's success. Make a lasting impact - one child, one family, one community at a time!

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Create Mentoring Relationships: Observe and evaluate infant and toddler's progress to prepare the children for school
• Facilitate Family Partnerships: Working with families to set and reach their goals while providing parenting education.
• Track Progress: Conduct assessments and maintain accurate records.
• Encourage Family Involvement: Partner with parents to inspire active participation of the children.
• Integrate Wellness: Complete educational and health screenings, and rescreens, within the Head Start Performance Standards.
• Promote the program: Assist with recruitment efforts to connect more families to the Head Start program.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Current Home Visiting CDA, OR
