Job summary

Audubon Area Community Services is seeking a Family Advocate/Program Assistant (FT) for the Head Start Program in Kentucky. This full-time, first-shift role supports children and families with essential social services and family involvement activities.

Starting wages range $13.65 to $18.15 per hour, with travel required and a valid driver’s license. A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate or bachelor's degree in a related field must be obtained within 18 months of employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Six months of related experience preferred.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in social work, human services, family services, counseling, or related field, or certification must be obtained within 18 months.

Responsibilities

• Will create, provide, and coordinate services and activities with children, families, and communities.
• Provide instructional experiences to Head Start families and children in social services and parent involvement.
• Reports to Local Area Manager.
