Job summary

Douglass Community Services Inc. is seeking a Facilities & Classroom Support Assistant to help maintain a clean, safe and healthy environment across Head Start centers in Missouri. The role involves classroom and facility cleaning, basic maintenance support, and assisting in classrooms, kitchens, and dining areas.

You will work 40 hours per week, 49 weeks per year, with no evenings or weekends. The position offers competitive pay starting at $15.00/hour, paid holidays, comprehensive benefits,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Knowledge of sanitation and cleaning procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow Health Department regulations and Head Start standards.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, safe, sanitary environment per Missouri guidelines.
• Perform routine and deep cleaning of classrooms and spaces.
• Assist with building maintenance and report repairs.
• Ensure playgrounds are safe and hazard-free.
• Support daily operations across classrooms, offices, kitchens, and dining areas.
