Job summary

Tri-County Community Action Agency in Hamilton, NJ is seeking an Infant-Toddler CDA-qualified caregiver to supervise and coordinate a Head Start classroom, ensuring Head Start Performance Standards and NJ/PA licensing compliance. The role involves planning developmentally appropriate activities, maintaining records, and engaging families.

A CDA or enrollment in a CDA program is required; an AA/BA is a plus. Must have a daily driver and meet licensing standards for NJ/PA.

Qualifications

• Must have an Infant-Toddler CDA or equivalent and enroll in Infant-Toddler CDA program.
• AA and BA a plus.
• Must meet or exceed the qualification requirements set forth in NJ and PA licensing standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities for preschool children.
• Provide infant-toddler caregiving routines in a primary caregiving setting.
• Observe, assess, and document each child's growth and development.
• Ensure services for children with special needs are implemented.
• Maintain safety and report health/safety concerns to supervisor.
• Prepare records and monthly reports as requested.
• Engage parents with classroom activities and conferences.
• Attend trainings and assist in program administration.
