Job summary

Communityactionallegan Education Supervisor (Full Time) in Michigan reports to the Director of Operations. Oversees Head Start teaching teams to ensure program compliance with Head Start standards and licensing, and provides direct supervision of centers and staff.

The role requires a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education and at least three years of experience with children with differing abilities, plus CPR/First Aid certification and a health/TB clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Three years of experience with children with differing abilities.
• Pass employment physical and TB test.
• CPR and Basic First Aid certification for Child and Adult.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Head Start teaching teams in line with Head Start Standards and CAAC policies.
• Conduct performance evaluations of teaching staff.
• Provide day-to-day supervision for centers, classrooms, and staff.
• Participate in interviewing, hiring, and intern placements.
• Support family engagement activities and school readiness initiatives.
• Review lesson plans, forms, and reports for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with Teacher Coach and Mental Health/Social Services teams.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
