Job summary

University of Wisconsin–Oshkosh Head Start is seeking temporary Early Childhood Education Assistant and Substitute Teachers to support preschool learning and safety. The positions require following instructions and collaborating with staff, children, and families to identify goals and needed services.

Responsibilities include implementing developmentally appropriate activities, assisting with education tasks, and maintaining a safe, engaging environment for young children.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to take written and verbal instruction.
• Experience working with young children preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the safety and physical well-being of children at all times and in all environments.
• Engages in collaborative partnership building with children, staff, and parents to identify goals, strengths, necessary services, and other support.
• Implements individualized and developmental educational plans for children.
• Assists with early childhood education related tasks.
