Job summary

Western Arizona Council of Governments (WACOG) seeks an experienced Disabilities Services professional to support Head Start in Yuma, Mohave and La Paz counties. You will lead the Disabilities content area, coordinate evaluations, and ensure compliance with Head Start standards to promote outcomes for children with disabilities.

The role requires collaboration with LEAs, families, Center Managers and staff; strong data management in ChildPlus/MTS; and the ability to plan trainings and maintain

Qualifications

• Three years direct experience working with children with disabilities.
• Two years management experience.
• BA/BS in Special Education, Child Development or Psychology with an emphasis in Preschool/Special Education.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, implement, monitor and support the Disabilities content area for Head Start in Yuma, La Paz and Mohave Counties.
• Recruit and enroll children with disabilities and manage LEA referrals and timelines.
• Coordinate evaluations, IEP/IFSP meetings and collaboration with school district personnel, staff and parents.
• Ensure paperwork and documentation comply with regulations and Head Start standards.
• Maintain data in ChildPlus and MTS systems and prepare monthly program reports.
