Job summary

Santa Clara Pueblo Administrative is seeking a Teacher Assistant to support the Education Coordinator and Teacher in planning and participating in classroom, playground, and field trip activities.

The role helps foster child development across all areas, assist with daily activities, observations, family communications, and health and safety checks. A HS diploma and 1 year of experience are required, with First Aid/CPR within a month after hire.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED and 1 year experience with children.
• First Aid/CPR certification within 1 month after hire.
• Background check and drug/alcohol screening as part of requirements.
• Valid NM driver's license and insurance where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher and guide activities for daily routines, field trips, and classroom setup.
• Write weekly observations reports and participate in parent conferences.
• Maintain safe, healthy environment and assist with health/environment checks.
• Support I.E.P./IFSP implementation and collaborate with mental health consultant.
