Job summary

Pasco County Schools seeks a Classroom Assistant for the Head Start Program at Quail Hollow Elementary, Wesley Chapel, FL. This is a part-time, non-benefit eligible SRP position with an anticipated vacancy for 2026-2027.

Responsibilities include delivering childcare and supporting school readiness, ensuring compliance with state and local regulations. Education required is a high school diploma or GED, with CDA/First Aid credentials preferred or to be completed within specified timeframes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Satisfactory completion of First Aid, CPR and AED courses, or complete within three months of hire.
• CDA Credential, or complete within two years of hire.
• All hires must meet Early Childhood physical examination requirements.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for delivery of appropriate childcare and support for school readiness skills in Head Start.
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
