Job summary

Sieda Community Action seeks a Center Supervisor for the Mahaska, Jefferson, and Keokuk County Preschool/Head Start Partnership. This full-time, 40-hr/week role ensures quality Head Start operations and regulatory compliance.

You will supervise teachers and nutrition staff, coach staff, conduct quarterly reflective sessions, and maintain center documentation and data in ChildPlus.net and Teaching Strategies GOLD.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field; coursework related preferred.
• Head Start Center Supervisor requires previous experience in a Preschool/Child Care setting.
• Minimum of two years of leadership experience required.

Responsibilities

• Complies with state licensing regulations and Head Start Performance Standards to assure center operations.
• Provides support, resources, and supervision to classroom and nutrition staff.
• Conducts quarterly reflective supervision with staff to discuss performance and goals.
• Performs annual performance evaluations, onboarding, and corrective actions.
• Maintains center documentation and data entry in required systems.
• Meets with parents as needed and refers families to community resources.
• Participates in Head Start committees and training activities.
