Lorain County Community Action Agency is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher to work with the Head Start team in promoting academic and social-emotional growth for preschool children. You will collaborate with parents to encourage participation and ensure compliance with Head Start standards.

The role requires a high school diploma with an option to pursue CDA credential within 18 months; experience with preschoolers is valued.

Qualificações

• High school diploma and related credential required; those without a credential but with 1 year of direct preschool experience may enroll and obtain the CDA credential at the Agency's expense within 18 months of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Assist Head Teacher with classroom activities and maintain an organized learning environment.
• Administer screenings to determine children's developmental levels and needs.
• Recruit children into Head Start and participate in related functions.
• Attend training and meetings to maintain professional competence and participate on committees as required.
• Maintain timely, accurate family/child files and communicate with parents about progress.
