Job summary

Child Focus, in Clermont County, is seeking a Head Start Assistant Teacher to join our early childhood team. You will work alongside teaching staff to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom where young children can learn, explore, and grow.

You will help implement a research-based curriculum, engage children in meaningful learning experiences, and support their social, emotional, and developmental growth.

Qualifications

• CDA or Associate Degree required.
• Experience in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Ability to work with children and families in a supportive, engaging manner.

Responsibilities

• Assist the teacher in implementing a research-based curriculum.
• Engage children through play, learning activities, and daily classroom routines.
• Support children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development.
• Help create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
• Assist with setting up and maintaining classroom materials and learning activities.
• Maintain an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore, and grow.
• Support the teacher in meeting the individual needs of children and families.
• Work cooperatively with teachers and other team members.
• Assist with light classroom cleaning and organization.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and team members.
