Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation seeks an Assistant Teacher to support the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of 3- to 5-year-olds. You will help plan engaging lessons and foster a supportive learning environment, while involving families in setting goals.
The role includes collaboration with the Early Childhood Special Education Program, and is grant-funded with renewal dependent on funding. Indian Preference applies.

This position assures a supportive role for the teacher by assuring the social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development of children aged 3-5 through engaging lesson planning and intentional learning environments. The Assistant Teacher supports parent involvement in the development of child and family goals and objectives through case management. Additionally, this position provides support and assistance to the Early Childhood Special Education Program, when needed, to provide collaborative services in the least restrictive environment. This position is a full-time grant funded position and is contingent upon renewal of the grant.
Indian Preference: Must be an enrolled Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation Tribal Member.
6 months to 2 years of similar or related experience in education or childcare required. Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or willingness to acquire within six months of hire. Must be at least 18 years of age.
High School Diploma or GED, must be willing to enroll in a Child Development Associates credential course within 30 days of hire and obtain CDA within 2 years of hire
