Position Overview

The Head Squash Coach will oversee all squash instruction, player development initiatives, coaching staff, and program operations at PATL Charleston. This role requires a blend of elite coaching skill, leadership capability, program design, and the ability to foster a thriving squash culture. The ideal candidate is a strong on-court presence, an inspiring leader, and a builder of community.

Key Responsibilities

Coaching & Player Development

• Deliver high-quality private lessons, clinics, junior sessions, and group training for beginner to advanced players.
• Develop structured programs that guide players’ technical, tactical, and competitive growth.
• Create fun, engaging, and goal-oriented learning environments.

Leadership & Staff Oversight

• Lead and mentor coaching staff and assistant coaches.
• Maintain high instructional standards aligned with PATL’s values of community, excellence, and sportsmanship.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and performance management of coaching staff.

Program & Event Management

• Design and implement a full suite of squash offerings — leagues, clinics, junior pathways, seasonal camps, and competitive training.
• Work with club management to run tournaments, exhibitions, and special events.
• Ensure consistent quality and a positive player experience across all programs.

Community Engagement

• Serve as the ambassador for squash at PATL Charleston.
• Build relationships with members, families, and visiting players.
• Help foster an inclusive, friendly environment that encourages participation and player retention.
