Vanderbilt University is seeking a Head Coach for its Athletics’ Spirit Program, responsible for overseeing cheer, dance, and mascot activities. The ideal candidate will lead practices, develop student-athletes, manage budgets, and enhance school spirit across various sports events, fostering a vibrant community culture.
The head coach will coordinate all aspects of Vanderbilt Athletics’ Spirit Program, including cheer, dance, and mascot. Responsibilities include leading practices, student-athlete development, academic progress, budget management, and overseeing all team activities. The coach will manage gameday duties at various sports events, coordinate community and campus appearances, and recruit potential squad members while promoting school spirit and maintaining Vanderbilt Athletics' brand. The position involves overseeing spirit squad members and part-time coaches, with the possibility of hiring a full-time assistant coach. The role reports to the Associate AD of Marketing and receives support from the Senior Associate AD of Fan Experience and Sales.

Vanderbilt University’s Athletics Department aims to develop student-athletes into leaders and champions, emphasizing integrity, character, sportsmanship, and victory. As a charter member of the Southeastern Conference and its only private school, Vanderbilt fields 17 varsity teams (6 men's and 11 women's).

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college is required
Minimum of 2 years college coaching experience
