Job summary

Responsibilities

• Teaches discipline.
• Assigns duties to assistant coaches.
• Manages and supervises the athletic program.
• Assists athletic director in purchasing equipment.
• Coordinates the issuance, care and inventory of equipment.
• Supervises students from practice start to campus departure.
• Assists in scheduling (if applicable).
• Monitors the physical condition of student athletes and enforces safety rules.
• Encourages academic excellence of student athletes.
• Assesses accomplishments and provides progress reports.
• Maintains positive relationships with parents; schedules conferences.
• Performs related duties as required.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. 1. Teaches discipline.
2. 2.Assigns duties and responsibilities to assistant coaches (if applicable).
3. 3.Manages and supervises the assigned athletic program (if applicable).
4. 4.Assists the athletic director in purchasing equipment (if applicable).
5. 5. Coordinates the issuance, care and inventory of equipment.
6. 6.Supervises students at all times from the time practice or activity begins until all students leave campus.
7. 7.Assists the athletic director in scheduling (if applicable).
8. 8.Monitors the physical condition of student athletes constantly during physical activity; enforces safety rules and regulations.
9. 9.Encourages academic excellence of student athletes.
10. 10.Assesses the accomplishments of student athletes on regular basis and provides progress reports as required.
11. 11. Maintains positive relationships with parents; schedules and conducts conference with parents and student athletes as necessary.
12. 12. Performs related duties as required.
