The Sr. Manager, Product Management-Tech for Worldwide Prime Benefits will lead a team of product managers to accelerate the growth of Amazon Prime, by working with internal Amazon teams to enhance and launch benefits. This is an expansive role that will touch almost every consumer business at Amazon. You will also be responsible for defining technical constructs and shared customer experiences to unify and simplify the overall portfolio of benefits enjoyed by Prime members.

The right candidate for this role will have a proven track record of customer obsession in identifying, prioritizing, and shaping trajectory-bending value propositions. They will need strong ownership instincts to align multiple internal and external cross-functional stakeholders towards common goals and be comfortable navigating and presenting to Steam members. They will need to establish repeatable metric-driven inspection mechanisms to hold internal teams accountable for continuously raising the bar for customers. They will have deep empathy for customers and an ability to communicate the value of Prime in intuitive and compelling ways.

Key job responsibilities

Key job responsibilities include:

  1. Work with digital benefits in Devices & Services, Video, Music and Audible to develop experiences for Prime members that are compelling to customers and financially accretive to Amazon as a whole.
  2. Work with Retail and Delivery Experience teams worldwide, particularly for Grocery and Everyday Essentials, to make Prime the best experience in any given locale.
  3. Work with UX Design, Brand Marketing and benefit partners to develop and enforce an overall brand architecture for Prime, including naming and classification of benefits, badging, and plans/tiers/offers portfolio.
  4. Establish the vision for sharing of benefits within Amazon Prime households worldwide and build a common sharing CX and policy in collaboration with Identity, P13n and benefit partners.
  5. Collaborate with Digital Acceleration and Prime tech teams to define common architectural and CX constructs to support a diverse range of Prime benefits, sharing policies, and tiers worldwide.
  6. Develop metrics and mechanisms for tracking the health of Prime benefits worldwide and work with benefit teams to continuously improve benefit performance.
  7. Guide, coach, and develop product managers and engineers to execute on their charter and raise the bar.
About the team

The Benefits, Pricing and Constructs (BPC) team is responsible for defining WHAT Prime is (e.g., benefits included, business model and pricing, tiers) to provide disproportionate value for Amazon and accelerated growth for Amazon businesses. Our sister team, Membership Growth, focuses on the customer acquisition and retention funnel. Together, we roll into the WW Prime organization, which is the steward of one of Amazon's most valuable assets and one of the most loved consumer programs worldwide. We work with country and benefit teams to continuously improve the Prime member experience and value, and grow the Prime member base worldwide.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics.
  • 6+ years of team management experience.
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
  • Experience in multiple consumer businesses, including Digital.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Ability to navigate across large company and build trust with stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $178,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $307,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
