Job summary

McLean Bible Church is seeking an experienced Production Director to lead weekend audio, video, and lighting for multiple DC area locations. The role oversees multisite volunteer teams, collaborates with Worship and Central AV/Operations, and ensures broadcast and in‑room experiences meet the church’s standard of excellence.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in production leadership, church experience, and a bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

Qualifications

Seven+ years of experience in production leadership, including live events.
At least five years leading volunteers in a church context.
Church multisite experience preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary technical producer for weekend gatherings, overseeing audio, video, and lighting from pre‑service to post‑service.
Partner with Worship to translate creative vision into technical execution for services and events.
Maintain a high standard for in‑room and broadcast experiences with clear vocals, energetic mix, and supportive visuals.
Make real‑time technical decisions during services with calm, clear communication.
Lead rehearsals, cross‑campus coordination, and volunteer development.
Oversee safety, team culture, and onboarding/certification processes for production volunteers.
