Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in New Jersey seeks a physician leader to serve as Medical Director, Occupational & Workforce Health for the Central Jersey Hub in New Brunswick. You will guide strategy, workforce health programs, and regulatory excellence for a 43,000-employee system and 700 employer partners.

Collaborate with executive leadership, HR, Operations, Quality, Safety and Legal to advance innovative solutions, ensure high-quality care, and promote employee well-being across the organization.

Qualifications

• Board certification in Occupational Medicine preferred.
• Internal Medicine board certification with Occupational Medicine experience considered.
• Family Medicine board certification with Occupational Medicine experience considered.
• Emergency Medicine board certification with Occupational Medicine experience considered.
• Leadership experience within Occupational Health, Employee Health, or Workforce Health.
• MRO, DOT, and IME certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA, CDC, DOT, ADA, and Workers' Compensation regulations.
• New Jersey medical license or eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead comprehensive Occupational & Workforce Health program across a large healthcare system.
• Collaborate with executive leadership, HR, Operations, Quality, Safety and Legal teams.
• Oversee clinical services including injury management, surveillance programs, pre-employment evaluations.
• Ensure MRO, IME, DOT, and regulatory compliance.
