Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three years directing utilization management in healthcare.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medi-Cal and other regulations.
• Strong leadership, negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provides direction and monitoring of utilization programs to meet goals.
• Serves as a resource to medical staff and regulators on utilization matters.
• Analyzes utilization trends and reports to committees.
• Hires, coaches, and disciplines staff; conducts training on utilization management.
• Ensures compliance with federal, state and internal standards.
