The position requires 3–5 years in chart analysis and utilization review, plus a psychology-related degree or RN licensure, and strong communication skills.

Qualificações

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in psychology or related field, or RN licensure.
• Experience: 3–5 years in chart analysis and utilization review in psychiatric and chemical dependency fields preferred.
• License/Certification: N/A
• Skills: Good oral and written communication skills; stable emotional makeup for fast-paced environment.
• Physical Requirements: Sedentary work with extensive paperwork and phone tasks; lift up to 20 lbs.

Responsabilidades

• Directs and coordinates the utilization review process; supervises Utilization Review staff; ensures quality of patient care and cost-effectiveness.
• Review admission and continued-stay reviews; collaborate with Physicians and Social Services to document patient care; identify problems and maintain data for leadership.
• Develop and monitor program goals; ensure alignment with facility objectives and strategic plans.
• Direct staffing for the Utilization Review Department; ensure supervision and staff development; oversee staff scheduling and communications.
• Coordinate with external reviewers and managed care organizations; ensure timely interactions and outcome monitoring; maintain documentation standards.
• Participate in clinical team analysis and evaluation of services; support budget development and resource planning.
