Job summary

Legal & General Asset Management in Chicago seeks a Senior Head of US Middle Office Oversight to lead post-trade operations across trade services, derivatives, collateral, reconciliations and asset servicing. Qualifications

  • Oversight of trade services, settlement, funding, and market claims.
  • Lead derivatives, collateral management, UMR compliance, and OTC pricing activities.
  • Oversee reconciliations across cash, positions, and derivatives, plus exception governance.
  • Manage asset servicing and corporate actions, including income processing and election management.
  • Govern vendor/broker relationships, SLA/KPI reviews, and service-delivery governance.
  • Drive risk & controls, audit support, and regulatory preparedness; enable transformation and automation.

Job Description

The Head of US Middle Office Oversight is responsible for leading and governing critical post-trade operational functions supporting L&G Asset Management America’s investment business. This role oversees Trade Services, Derivatives Operations, Collateral Management, Reconciliations, Corporate Actions, Asset Servicing, and third-party service provider performance across global markets and investment products.

The position serves as the senior operational leader responsible for ensuring a controlled, scalable, and resilient operating model supporting the full investment lifecycle. Responsibilities include oversight of trade processing, settlement, derivative lifecycle management, collateral administration, cash and position reconciliations, asset servicing activities, operational risk management, and outsourced service provider governance.

The role partners closely with Portfolio Management, Trading, Risk, Compliance, Fund Administration, Technology, Custody, Brokers and external service providers to deliver operational excellence, risk management while driving automation, control enhancement, and strategic transformation initiatives.

Experience
  • 12-15+ years of investment operations, middle office, or post-trade operational experience

  • Proven track record managing operational risk, controls, regulatory audits, and strategic transformation initiatives.
