A real estate investment firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their team as the Head of Underwriting.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee underwriting and due diligence procedures across all commercial real estate (CRE) asset classes on a firmwide basis
• Evaluate active CRE lending deals to ensure comprehensive underwriting and alignment with firm standards and sound risk assessment practices
• Drive the creation and enhancement of investment memoranda and underwriting templates to support informed decision-making
• Manage and maintain relationships with third-party vendors supporting the underwriting process
• Lead training and development efforts for both new hires and current team members to strengthen underwriting capabilities
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in underwriting across private, conventional, or institutional lending environments
• Proven track record in credit analysis and transaction execution within underwriting or credit-focused roles
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
