Due to continuous growth and expansion, Sunlight Group offers a great opportunity for career development and is seeking to attract a Head of Treasury to join our Finance team at Sunlight’s Athens premises. The role holds overall responsibility for defining and leading the Group’s treasury strategy, covering liquidity and cash management, funding and capital structure, financial risk management, banking relationships and treasury operations across its international footprint. Reporting directly to the CFO, the position combines strategic leadership with hands‑on execution and collaborates closely with Group entities, senior management and key internal and external stakeholders.

Key activities and responsibilities of this role include:
  • Defines and leads the Group’s treasury strategy, ensuring alignment with the Group’s financial objectives and providing strategic advice to the CFO on liquidity, funding and financial risk matters.
  • Holds overall responsibility for the Group’s liquidity and cash management, optimizing cash positions and ensuring the efficient utilization of available liquidity across all entities.
  • Oversees short-, medium- and long-term cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, cash concentration, cash pooling and working capital optimization.
  • Leads the Group’s financing activities, including syndicated facilities, bilateral loans, revolving credit facilities and other funding arrangements, and shapes the Group’s funding and capital structure strategy.
  • Leads financing transactions and negotiations, providing financial analysis, market intelligence and treasury expertise, while ensuring compliance with financing agreements, reporting obligations and financial covenants.
  • Defines and oversees the Group’s foreign exchange and interest rate risk management framework, including the design, approval and execution of appropriate hedging strategies.
  • Monitors financial market developments, assesses their impact on the Group’s financial position and provides recommendations to the CFO and Executive Management.
  • Owns and develops the Group’s relationships with banking partners, lenders, financial advisors, legal counsel and other external stakeholders, overseeing treasury services, guarantees, letters of credit and other banking products.
  • Ensures efficient, secure and well‑controlled treasury operations across the Group, including bank account management, electronic banking platforms, payment infrastructure, treasury systems and access controls.
  • Establishes and maintains treasury policies, procedures, internal controls and governance standards, ensuring compliance with applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.
  • Leads the continuous improvement, automation and digital transformation of the Group’s treasury function.
  • Provides treasury reporting and recommendations to the CFO, Executive Management, Audit Committee, Board of Directors, lenders and shareholders, and leads the treasury workstream for acquisitions, divestments, corporate restructurings and other strategic initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
  • A Master’s degree and/or a relevant professional qualification, such as CFA, ACT, CTP or ACCA, will be considered a strong asset.
  • At least 10 years of relevant experience in corporate treasury, corporate finance, banking or financial risk management, including experience in a senior treasury leadership role.
  • Proven experience in managing a treasury function within a multinational or complex Group environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of cash and liquidity management, corporate financing, capital structure, financial markets, derivatives and treasury risk management.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing complex financing arrangements, banking relationships and foreign exchange and interest rate hedging strategies.
  • Strong leadership skills and hands‑on experience with treasury management systems, ERP platforms and banking technologies.
  • Excellent analytical, strategic thinking, negotiation and decision‑making skills, with the confidence to interact with the CFO, Executive Management, Board members and external stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a complex, dynamic and international environment; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
