present of AI is hiring its first threat intelligence lead to build a function from the ground up. You will identify hostile activity, attribute actors, and coordinate with legal and security teams to shut down operations.
You will gain hands-on practice using AI tools to monitor surfaces, detect synthetic content, and write clear memos that stand up to legal review. This role emphasizes judgment over tooling and policy adherence.
This is a first hire building a threat intelligence function from scratch, finding hostile activity aimed at the company and its leaders, working out who is behind it, and shutting it down through proper channels. A strong candidate has done real investigative work somewhere hard, such as platform trust and safety, disinformation research, threat intelligence, or OSINT journalism, and can run outside firms and write evidence that holds up for lawyers. Comfort with Wikipedia policy, sockpuppet investigations, and legal process matters more than tooling.
AI makes fake documents, planted stories, and impersonation cheap, so the role exists partly because attackers can now produce at scale. The work leans on AI to monitor many surfaces quickly and to spot machine made output, while judgment about attribution, evidence, and legal limits stays human. Writing clear memos and knowing where the line is cannot be automated.
The role offers hands on practice using AI to watch Wikipedia, search, review sites, and domain registrations at speed and to detect synthetic content. Building this means getting fluent with monitoring and detection tools alongside account graph and stylometry methods, applied to a company serving government agencies where every action must survive review.
