Job summary

Impulse Space in Redondo Beach seeks a Manager of Test Operations to lead a team building, maintaining, and operating test equipment for components and assemblies advancing in-space transportation.

You will balance technical execution with people leadership, ensuring safe, reliable tests while driving cadence and continuous improvement across engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in flight hardware assemblies or test production environment (or degree in engineering/science).
• 5+ years leading technicians or engineering teams in aerospace/manufacturing.
• Experience with mechanical assembly, fluid/pressure systems, control systems, or propulsion hardware.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of test technicians focused on ownership and continuous improvement.
• Plan and execute workloads across multiple development, qualification, and acceptance campaigns.
• Oversee fabrication, assembly, commissioning, maintenance, and operation of test equipment and infrastructure.
