As the world enters an era of strategic competition, Anduril is committed to bringing cutting-edge autonomy, AI, computer vision, sensor fusion, and networking technology to the military in months, not years.

ABOUT THE JOB

The Head of Technical Program Management (TPM) owns the planning and execution of every complex development effort across the EW portfolio. Your team of TPMs manages new technology development initiatives within the EW business line’s Internal Research and Development (IRAD) and customer facing program portfolio. You centralize and standardize the tools, processes, and operating rhythms that allow TPMs to do their jobs and allow leadership to have clear insights across program. You own the TPM skillset within EW and are expected to build, train, and lead the TPM organization into a high performing technical leadership team here at Anduril.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
  • Build, scale, and lead a team of Technical Program Managers embedded across Anduril’s EW portfolio (Pulsar, Polaris, Neutron, and emerging platforms)
  • Technical schedule management. Ensure internal and external development projects and programs are planned with realistic timelines informed by engineering complexity.
  • Centralize and standardize the tools, processes, and operating rhythms that allow TPMs to execute across their programs.
  • Establish standards and teach, coach, mentor a team of TPMs what "good" looks like.
  • Orchestrate risks, dependencies, governance, and delivery planning across concurrent initiatives.
  • Partner with engineering leadership to translate technical roadmaps into executable program plans with clear dependencies, schedules, and deliverables.
  • You are an excellent executive communicator and provide business line leadership with clear and concise portfolio-level observations and insights.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 10+ years in technical program management, or related technical leadership, at least 5 leading a multi-team organization
  • Experience managing complex hardware/software development programs with interdependent engineering workstreams.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to distill complex technical concepts, risks, and status into clear, actionable insights for both deeply technical and executive audiences.
  • Experience building and scaling TPM organizations: hiring, structuring, and developing teams of program professionals.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and enforce programmatic standards across a portfolio: scheduling frameworks, risk management practices, artifact requirements.
  • Proven ability to operate as a trusted peer to engineering leadership.
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Background in EW, RF, radar, or electronic systems programs specifically
  • Familiarity with DoD acquisition pathways - traditional (FAR/DFARS), middle tier, and non-traditional (OTA, DIU)
  • Understanding of MOSA, DevSecOps, and agile hardware development approaches
  • Experience with DoD/IC acquisition processes and earned value management
  • Currently possesses and is able to maintain an active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.
