Overview

Our client is a leading developer, owner, and operator of distributed generation (DG) solar projects across the U.S., with a 400+ MW portfolio and secured financial backing for the next decade. We are seeking a hands-on Head of Technical Asset Management to join the growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Asset Performance Management: Oversee the technical performance of energy assets to ensure they meet or exceed expected KPIs (availability, yield, efficiency). Implement systems and procedures for performance monitoring, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement. Develop and monitor operational KPIs and dashboards. Develop and execute the technical asset management strategy in alignment with corporate goals. Lead and mentor a team of asset managers, performance analysts, and engineers. Serve as a technical advisor to senior leadership on asset performance and risk.
• Lifecycle & Maintenance Oversight: Manage full asset lifecycle: from commissioning to decommissioning. Ensure robust maintenance programs (preventive, predictive, corrective) are in place. Collaborate with O&M contractors and ensure contract compliance.
• Regulatory & Compliance: Ensure all assets comply with health, safety, environmental, and regulatory standards. Interface with grid operators, regulators, and other external stakeholders as needed. Lead technical budgeting and forecasting activities. Identify opportunities for cost optimization and technology upgrades.
• Data & Digital Tools: Leverage digital asset management platforms, SCADA systems, and predictive analytics. Ensure data integrity and effective reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with finance, legal, commercial, and project development teams. Support M&A due diligence and onboarding of new assets from a technical perspective.
