Job summary

You will partner with senior leaders to translate needs into clear requirements, set priorities, and ensure investments and capacity meet business aims.

You will lead demand intake, maintain visibility of the technology demand pipeline, evaluate competing demands, and provide actionable recommendations.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of business strategy and how technology enables outcomes.
• Experience partnering with senior business and technology leaders.
• Background in technology strategy, IT planning, governance, or portfolio management.
• Strong knowledge of technology delivery processes and capacity planning.
• Ability to assess competing priorities, evaluate trade-offs, and provide clear recommendations.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and influencing skills.
• Experience leading technology teams and developing talent.
• Desirable: Insurance, financial services, or similarly complex environments.

Responsibilities

• Act as a technology partner to senior business leaders, understanding strategies, priorities, and challenges.
• Translate business needs into clear technology requirements and actionable priorities.
• Strengthen alignment between business objectives and the North American technology agenda.
• Lead the technology demand intake process with clearly defined requests.
• Maintain visibility across the technology demand pipeline and priorities.
• Evaluate competing demands based on business value, urgency, dependencies, and capacity.
• Provide recommendations to senior leadership to support investment decisions.
• Partner with IT leadership to understand delivery capacity and resource allocation.
• Ensure problems, outcomes, scope, and requirements are defined before delivery.
• Establish expected business value and report on whether investments deliver outcomes.
• Provide clear reporting on demand, portfolio priorities, capacity, and decisions.
• Lead and develop technology talent within a collaborative IT planning culture.
