This is a Full Time position in the field of Live Broadcast / Sports / TV News / Technical Operations , located in Culver City, CA.

The position pays $149,900.00 — $335,200.00 per year.

Prime Video is a leading entertainment platform offering a vast collection of premium programming accessible across thousands of devices. Prime members can customize their viewing experience and access a wide range of content including movies, series, documentaries, and live sports, with offerings from Amazon MGM Studios, licensed fan favorites, and Prime Video add-on subscriptions like Apple TV+, Max, Crunchyroll, and MGM+. Customers can rent or buy titles via the Prime Video Store, with additional free content available with ads.

We are seeking a Head of Studio Engineering for our Live Sports Production Technical Operations team. The ideal candidate will provide leadership and support for the design, build, and daily operations of Prime Video’s Live Sports studios. Responsibilities include supervising a small, high-output engineering team supporting all aspects of studio production. This role requires vision, adaptability, and a drive to learn in a high-pressure, evolving environment.

Reporting to the Head of Engineering & Technology, the successful candidate will work closely with the studio production team to ensure all technical needs are met, tested, and ready for productions. The role involves engaging with vendors, attending industry conferences, and staying current with technological advances.

Key Job Responsibilities

1. Manage studio engineering and technical operations team supporting studio productions.
2. Collaborate with field technical operations and production teams for remote productions such as NASCAR, NWSL, and WNBA.
3. Oversee facility broadcast technology schedules, maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
4. Manage capital projects and technical refresh initiatives.
5. Work with vendors and partners to stay updated on the latest broadcast technologies.
6. Support technical needs of audio, replay, graphics, ingest, and media asset management teams.
7. Partner with AWS to evaluate and implement live cloud production workflows.
