Job summary

Scorpion Therapeutics seeks a senior strategic-planning leader to translate the company’s mission and pipeline into a dynamic long-range plan. You will own the annual strategic planning process, align cross-functional teams, and drive OKRs aligning enterprise strategy with affiliate execution.

You will synthesize external signals, evaluate portfolio fit, support partnerships, and prepare Board-level materials for executive and investor audiences. Advanced biotech strategy experience is required.

Qualifications

  • 8–12+ years in strategic planning, management consulting, or investment banking with biotech exposure.
  • Substantive biotech/pharma experience (pipeline valuation, competitive dynamics).
  • Experience developing and presenting Board-level strategy materials.
  • Strong analytical skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis) and synthesis.
  • Precise communication; cross-functional collaboration.
  • Advanced degree strongly preferred (MBA, PhD, MD, or equivalent).

Responsibilities:


  • Lead development and ongoing management of BridgeBio’s long-range strategic plan; translate mission, pipeline, and commercial trajectory into a dynamic view of where the company is going and how it gets there.

  • Own the annual strategic planning process (framework, cross-functional alignment, resource allocation/prioritization outputs).

  • Drive goal-setting and operational planning processes (OKRs or equivalent) connecting enterprise strategy to affiliate/functional execution.

  • Identify and frame key strategic questions; provide structured thinking and rigorous analysis to answer them.

  • Partner across R&D, Regulatory, Commercial, and affiliates to evaluate/prioritize pipeline; build frameworks to assess portfolio risk, opportunity, and strategic fit.

  • Synthesize external signals (scientific advances, competitors, regulatory shifts, market dynamics) into strategic implications; support competitive intelligence.

  • Support licensing/partnership/transaction evaluation with strategic clarity; partner with Legal, Finance, and R&D on diligence/planning.

  • Lead Board-level and investor-facing strategy materials.


Qualifications:


  • 8 to 12+ years in strategic planning, management consulting, or investment banking with meaningful biopharma/life sciences exposure; top-tier strategy firm experience strongly preferred.

  • Substantive biotech/pharma experience (pipeline valuation, rare disease competitive dynamics).

  • Experience developing and presenting Board-level strategy materials.

  • Strong analytical skills (financial modeling, scenario analysis) and excellent synthesis/storytelling.

  • Precise communication; cross-functional collaboration.

  • Advanced degree strongly preferred (MBA, PhD, MD, or equivalent).
