Job summary

vineyard vines is seeking a Director of Store Design to lead planning, design, and execution of the company’s retail environments. You will create brand-consistent store designs for new stores, remodels, relocations, and expansions, coordinating with Construction, Merchandising, Marketing, and Stores Operations to align with business goals.

You will manage external partners, review drawings and submittals, and ensure compliance with codes and cost guidelines while translating design concepts

Qualifications

• 5–10 years of design experience in retail or related environments.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related field required.
• Proficiency in 2D/3D design tools and hand sketches for client presentations.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and evolve store design standards and brand guidelines.
• Lead design for new stores, remodels, relocations, and special projects.
• Create floor plans, fixture layouts, and customer flow concepts.
• Collaborate with Construction, Merchandising/Visual, Marketing, and Stores Operations.
• Manage external architects, designers, and vendors to meet timelines and budgets.
• Ensure designs comply with codes, accessibility, and cost guidelines.
