Head of Shared Capabilities + AI Value Transformation

Your Job

Molex is seeking a Head of Shared Capabilities to lead the strategy, development, and delivery of scalable capabilities that improve how we bring products to market and create value across Global Product Development.

This leader will connect business priorities with technology, data, artificial intelligence, and operating model improvements to enable stronger business outcomes. Working across Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Digital organizations, the Head of Shared Capabilities will identify opportunities to reduce complexity, strengthen collaboration, accelerate learning, and improve performance at an enterprise level.

Success in this role will be measured through improvements in launch performance, cycle time, quality, productivity, traceability, resource effectiveness, and the realization of measurable business value from digital and AI-enabled capabilities. The successful candidate will build trusted partnerships across functions, translate complex challenges into clear priorities, and help create the capabilities that support long-term value creation across the enterprise.

This position reports to the Vice President, Global Product Development and is based in Lisle, Illinois. The role requires approximately 30-40% global travel.

Our Team

The Shared Capabilities team partners across Global Product Development and the broader Molex organization to identify common needs, strengthen enterprise capabilities, and accelerate value creation. The team brings together diverse perspectives and expertise to solve shared challenges, reduce unnecessary complexity, and enable sustainable transformation.

What You Will Do

  • Lead a multidisciplinary team responsible for advancing scalable capabilities across Global Product Development.

  • Partner with leaders across Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, Operations, and Digital organizations to align priorities and accelerate enterprise value creation.

  • Identify and prioritize opportunities to improve launch performance, quality, productivity, traceability, collaboration, and business outcomes.

  • Develop governance, investment, and prioritization mechanisms that align resources with the opportunities expected to create the greatest value.

  • Advance the responsible use of artificial intelligence, automation, analytics, data, and digital capabilities to improve decision-making, productivity, and operational effectiveness.

  • Establish measurement systems that connect capability investments to business outcomes, adoption, and realized value.

  • Build enterprise capability by coaching leaders and team members, sharing knowledge, and creating opportunities for individuals to contribute according to their strengths.

  • Promote experimentation, challenge assumptions, remove barriers, and create learning loops that help the organization continuously improve.

  • Influence enterprise outcomes through collaboration, partnership, and credibility rather than relying solely on formal authority.

  • Communicate strategy, progress, tradeoffs, risks, and results clearly to executive leadership and other stakeholders.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 12+ years of progressive leadership experience across Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Digital Transformation, or related business functions.

  • Proven success leading enterprise-wide transformation initiatives across complex, matrixed organizations and influencing outcomes beyond direct reporting relationships.

  • Experience developing enterprise strategies and translating them into prioritized roadmaps, governance models, investment decisions, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience leading leaders and multidisciplinary teams while aligning diverse stakeholders around shared priorities, accountability, and execution.

  • Demonstrated success delivering measurable business value through digital, AI, automation, analytics, or operational transformation initiatives.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience leading the design, development, and manufacturing of connectors, interconnect systems, cable assemblies, or other electronic connectivity components within a global manufacturing environment.

  • Experience implementing PLM, digital thread, configuration management, traceability, requirements management, or enterprise engineering systems.

  • Experience scaling AI, automation, analytics, or digital solutions from pilot programs to enterprise-wide adoption with measurable business outcomes.

  • Experience establishing governance, portfolio management, investment prioritization, and value realization frameworks.

  • Experience leading large-scale global transformation efforts and building enterprise capabilities, communities of practice, or centers of excellence.
