Job summary

Asana is seeking a Director of Security Engineering in San Francisco to lead and grow our Security Engineering organization. You will translate security strategy into technical reality, ensuring resilient infrastructure and world-class internal tooling.

This is a leadership role with people management, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration. The role is based in our San Francisco office with a hybrid schedule (Mon/Tue/Thu in-office; Wed possibly remote; Fri TBD).

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in security and software engineering.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing high-performing engineering teams.
• Strong background in software engineering with design review capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Build security by construction, design and default across products and infrastructure.
• Own security engineering roadmap with measurable risk reduction.
• Lead and mentor a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to embed security into system designs and workflows.
