Job summary

Vizient seeks a senior engineering leader to drive the CIAM strategy, architecture, and platform engineering for enterprise SaaS identity services. Qualifications

• 7+ years of platform engineering, IAM, or security in regulated environments.
• Proven ability to define technical strategy and align across engineering, product, security, business, and exec leadership.
• Deep knowledge of authentication standards: OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML.
• Design and implement fine-grained authorization models: ReBAC, ABAC, RBAC, Zanzibar-style, OPA/Cedar.
• Build reusable platform services, APIs, SDKs, and developer enablement for enterprise teams.
• Knowledge of workload/machine identity, secrets management, and AI agent identities.
• Strong cloud-native experience with Azure, AWS, Kubernetes, and observable architectures.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute multi-year engineering strategy and roadmap for CIAM across enterprise SaaS.
• Lead modernization of authorization with unified frameworks: ReBAC, ABAC, RBAC, Zanzibar-style, Policy-as-Code.
• Develop scalable identity solutions for humans, workloads, and AI identities.
• Oversee architecture, development, deployment, and reliability of CIAM platforms.
• Drive adoption of standardized APIs, SDKs, integration patterns, and self-service identity capabilities.
• Mentor engineering leaders and foster technical excellence and delivery.
• Collaborate with tech, product, security, and business teams to align with priorities.
• Establish standards and metrics to improve stability and developer experience.
• Manage budgets, planning, and prioritization to optimize delivery and cost.
