Job summary

Gulargambone Central School seeks a Head Teacher Secondary Studies to lead the secondary program within a vibrant K–12 setting. You will guide staff, implement NSW curriculum, and prioritise student wellbeing and post-school pathways in a supportive, community-driven environment with small class sizes.

You will collaborate with SLSOs and Aboriginal Support Staff, delivering high-quality teaching and building partnerships with families and external agencies to support student success.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to be an accessible leader who fosters partnerships with key stakeholders.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate day-to-day operations.
• Ability to implement and supervise effective DoE, NESA, wellbeing and VET systems for post-school pathways.
• Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare and lead inclusive programs.
• Educational leadership to manage performance of staff and teams.
• Strong communication to engage students, staff and parents.
• Ability to plan and manage resources effectively to support teaching and learning.
• Full approval to teach with the NSW Department of Education.
