Job summary

NVIDIA is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Manager to guide the RL post-training framework strategy and to build a capable US/APAC team. You will align investments with customer impact and ecosystem leverage, while partnering with product, research, DevRel, hardware, CUDA, and open-source collaborators.

You will recruit and develop managers and senior ICs, set clear ownership, and ensure durable upstream improvements across NVIDIA platforms and open-source stacks.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• 10+ years of software engineering in distributed systems or AI frameworks with 4+ years as a manager.
• Strong background in distributed AI systems, spanning training, inference, and orchestration.
• Experience defining technical strategy and multi-team execution plans.
• Ability to influence across org boundaries and communicate tradeoffs clearly.
• Experience hiring and leading engineering teams and creating staffing plans.
• Ability to establish workflows, metrics, and decision gates for better execution.
• Background collaborating with open-source communities, research teams, or partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead architecture and performance evaluation across training, inference, and orchestration.
