Talisman seeks a Head of Risk to lead the day-to-day risk function across its trading desks, owning market and credit risk oversight with hands-on leadership close to the desks.

You will drive VaR, stress testing, risk reporting, and P&L attribution, using Python and SQL, and partner with traders and senior management to challenge positions and shape controls for North American and global energy markets, exchanges and counterparty credit risk frameworks.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of risk experience within energy or commodity trading.
• Experience leading risk teams and engaging with front office.
• Strong technical skills in VaR, stress testing, and basis risk.

Responsabilités

• Run daily risk process end to end across trading desks.
• Challenge traders on positioning, hedging, and new products; escalate as needed.
• Manage day-to-day counterparty credit risk and collateral terms.
• Improve and automate risk reporting with Python/SQL.
