Job summary

GSK seeks a lead epidemiologist to drive respiratory epidemiology and real-world evidence work influencing vaccine development worldwide. You will partner across clinical development, safety, regulatory, and external collaborators to design and deliver studies on disease burden, treatment patterns and safety.

The role offers growth, global visibility, and the chance to unite science, technology and talent to get ahead of disease together. Hybrid work with on-site presence required two days/week.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of respiratory epidemiology experience in pharma/biotech/applied research.
• Experience with real-world data sources (claims, EHR, registries).
• Experience leading RWE programs in vaccine development or lifecycle.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the epidemiology program for at least one asset or disease area, including budget and content.
• Provide expert epidemiological insights to asset matrix teams.
• Lead and oversee complex epidemiological studies and partnerships.
• Identify opportunities and methods for assets or disease areas.
• Mentor junior staff and manage external collaborators.
• Represent GSK in scientific interactions and regulatory discussions.
• Coordinate dissemination of epidemiology data (regulatory docs, publications).
• Partner with external groups conducting epidemiological studies globally.
