Job summary

mbhealthcare is hiring a Director of Rehabilitation and Therapy to oversee the Facility's Therapy Department. The role focuses on planning, implementing, and evaluating rehabilitation services while ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

The successful candidate will guide staffing, coordinate with physicians and nursing staff, and drive program improvements with input from administration. Generous benefits and on-site leadership are provided.

Qualifications

• Three years' experience in rehabilitative nursing practices.
• One year of supervision in a hospital, nursing care facility, or related health care facility.
• Knowledge of RUGS and CMI.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the rehabilitation services of the Facility.
• Maintain knowledge of federal/state regulations and professional standards, and advise on policy changes to the Administrator.
• Review department policies and procedures and participate in recommended changes.
• Refer residents and families to appropriate personnel to meet needs.
• Involve residents in planning Facility rehabilitation programs.
• Manage daily staffing and utilization with input from therapists, residents, and Administrator.
• Maintain productive relationships with medical professionals and health facilities.
• Review workforce and report actions to the Administrator.
• Develop and execute a plan of correction for rehabilitation deficiencies noted during surveys.
• Participate in facility surveys by authorized government agencies.
• Ensure charted progress notes accurately reflect services and resident response.
• Involve residents and families in planning objectives and goals for residents.
• Meet with administration, medical, nursing, and related departments to plan rehabilitation programs.
