Job summary
A leading public library system in New York seeks a Director of Product, Readers & Learners to modernize the digital reading experience. This role requires extensive product management experience and the ability to drive cross-functional teams to enhance patron engagement. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a passion for using technology to foster community learning. This position is not remote, requiring in-office attendance at least three days a week.
Qualifications
10 years of relevant experience in a digital product or content leadership role.
7+ years in full lifecycle digital product management.
7-8 years of management experience.
Responsibilities
Own and drive the product vision and strategy for the Library’s digital Readers & Learners portfolio.
Champion the needs and experiences of our patrons with empathy.
Analyze offerings, conduct user research, and identify opportunities.
Skills
Ability to work on deadlines; organized, detail oriented
Excellent interpersonal, presentation, oral and written communication skills
Strong technical and business acumen
Familiarity with leading mobile and e-reading technologies
Knowledge of product management frameworks (Lean/Agile)
Education
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
