The Head of Strategic R&D Partnerships is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic partnerships that advance Emergent BioSolutions' Research & Development (R&D) objectives. Reporting to the Head of R&D, this role ensures strong, effective relationships with key external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, academic institutions, and industry partners. The individual will serve as a key external representative of Emergent's R&D efforts, requiring technical credibility, strategic acumen, and engagement with senior officials across sectors. Internally, this role fosters collaboration across the organization.
This position requires a deep understanding of the biopharmaceutical R&D landscape, the ability to navigate complex partnerships, and a results-oriented mindset. The ideal candidate is adaptable, possesses strong communication and negotiation skills, and can effectively advocate for Emergent's R&D priorities while building long-term, mutually beneficial partnerships. Leadership, problem-solving capabilities, proactivity, and the ability to identify and act on collaboration opportunities are essential.

The estimated annual salary ranges from $234,500 to $283,700, depending on education, experience, skills, and location. Additional incentives such as bonuses or stock options may apply.
